I would like to take the time, to thank the Athletic Institute of Medicine, most importantly, Dr. Thomas Wall and his staff for helping me through the Regenerative Medicine Techniques, for my ailing knee. I was destined to have my knee scoped for an interior meniscus tear. I reached out to Doctor Wall and was introduced to another option that would not require surgery.
Please keep in mind that I was having trouble walking, biking and maintaining my daily routine, due to the pain that I was experiencing in my right knee.
The procedure was painless (4 knee injections) and the therapy sessions helped with my recovery.
In April of 2020, I was unable to hike and bike on a daily basis. In September of 2020 I was at the Grand Canyon North Rim, and getting ready to hike The Kaibab Trail. This is a very strenuous and physically challenging hike. I had my doubts about being able to make the trek.
I was able to complete the hike, with no pain or issues in my knee.
This was a major milestone for me, not only physically, but mentally also. I can attribute my success, again to Dr. Tom and his therapy staff.
Extremely professional and caring throughout the process. The follow up calls to see how I was progressing made me feel like I was not just another folder in the file.
Thanks for helping me get back to where I need to be.
Effectiveness of Platelet Rich Plasma
Dr. Wall proposed “PRP” to help a stubborn tendon that just would not recover after my left knee replacement. It was a simple procedure where a special technician draws your own blood and runs it through a special machine that creates a “Plasma” that is then injected into the envelope of the tendon. With just “Taking it easy” on the leg for about six weeks the tendon finally healed perfectly and the leg is completely normal. I totally recommend this procedure.
Nothing to Fear!
After being diagnosed with moderate osteoarthritis in both knees, I was considering stem cell therapy. I am a 70 year old woman that has been blessed with good health, not having the need for many medical procedures, just yearly well checkups. After months of thinking about stem cell therapy, I finally made an appointment with Dr. Wall to see if I was a candidate for the procedure, and I was! I am writing this review to let the reader know, that if you are a candidate for stem cell therapy, there is nothing to fear. It was an amazingly easy, non-painful medical experience that I would highly recommend. I feel comfortable and confident with the medical advice the doctor gives me. Dr. Wall and his entire team made me feel very at ease, letting me know what to expect and answering all my questions. In addition to the incredible skill and qualifications of Dr. Wall, I was extremely impressed with all the safety and quality procedures he has in place. I highly recommend going to see Dr. Wall and discuss stem cell therapy. DON’T BE ANXIOUS!
Knee surgery
Dr Wall is awesome. He’s straight forward and to the point. He is sincere. Kind. And knowledgeable. I have complete confidence in his skills. He did surgery and stem cell therapy on my knee and foot. I feel so much better than I did 6 months ago. Thank you Dr Wall.
Stem Cell Therapy Worked For Me!
I am a 46-year-old athletic male who was told by numerous orthopedic surgeons that I was too young for a total knee replacement and to old for any type of cartilage transplantation. I was told that I needed to decrease my physical activity until I was old enough to undergo a total knee procedure. A friend of mine had recommended that I see Dr. Wall at the Athletic Institute of Medicine, learn more about it. He reported that he had a similar situation and underwent regenerative medicine techniques that allowed him to get back to performing all of his athletic and physical activities of daily living. I am happy that I followed his advice. I underwent a series of 3 injections using my blood platelet rich plasma and a fourth procedure whereby Dr. Wall took bone marrow from my pelvis to obtain what he called medicinal signaling stem cells and injected them into my knee. It has been over a year and I am still able to perform all of my athletic activities. I am grateful to Dr. Wall and the Athletic Institute of Medicine for giving me back my life.
Stem Cells Worked For Me!
I started having severe pain in my knees about six years ago from arthritis. The surgery that was performed 20 years ago on my right knee did not help. As the arthritis and pain in both my knees got worse ,I tried different injections from ,hyaluronic acid to a series of just PRP. and had very little relief. I then found Dr. Thomas Wall from the Athletic Institute of Medicine. Seven months ago he injected stem cells into both of my knees. Combined with physical therapy and two booster PRP shots, today I am 80% pain-free and improved my WOMAC score by 20 points. I am so blessed that I will not have to have knee replacement surgery at this point. I can’t say enough about Dr. Wall, his whole staff, and the stem cell procedure!
Amazing Experience
I had an amazing experience with Dr. Wall. He is kind and an expert in Regenerative Medicine and Orthopedic Surgery. I was referred to him by another orthopedic surgeon for a second opinion for my hip labral tear and femerol acetabular impingement. I was told by my first surgeon that the treatment was surgery and Dr. Wall was who he would have it done by if he himself needed it. So, I went to him. I am in my early 30’s and very active so the thought of being down after hip surgery was scary. Dr. Wall suggested a series of PRP and a stem cell treatment first before we committed to the surgery plan. I went along with his plan and I have not regretted it. Prior to treatment, I had trouble sleeping because the pain in my hip was so bad and I would toss and turn all night. But since treatment in the summer of 2018, I haven’t had hip pain and it is so nice to be able to sleep again. Thank you Dr. Wall! -CH

Medication Management in Senior Living
Older adults who take between 6 and 9 medications have a 59% greater chance of death when compared to those who take no medications . In aged care environments, residents are generally more reliant on medication than the general population because of their reduced mobility and other illnesses such as heart conditions and diabetes that contribute to weight gain and loss of physical strength which leads to loss of appetite and less appetitive. The effects of this can lead to malnutrition and increased frailty in older adults leading to longer hospital stays which raises the cost of health care to the community and increases the pressure on our healthcare systems.
Prostadine is a medication often prescribed to older men who experience prostate problems due to age. This includes issues such as an enlarged prostate, which can cause difficulty urinating, frequent urination, and a feeling of incomplete emptying of the bladder. According to prostadine reviews it works by relaxing the muscles in the prostate and bladder neck, allowing for easier urine flow.
Managing the balance between independence and care is challenging for assisted living facilities. And taking medications correctly can be very difficult with senior citizens in your community so it is vital that the staff are aware of how best to support them in their daily functioning and community integration practices with these resident cohorts in mind including re-orientation on the correct use of their prescribed medications and the treatment associated with the illness of which they suffer from. Different senior care facilities like the Carlton Senior Living community attract seniors for the freedom they offer. Meanwhile, families and loved ones look for caregivers to provide safe environments.
This includes hyper-vigilance of their changing healthcare needs. Living independently within a senior community can feel great when the quality of life is high within the community they are living in but when you get sick it is devastating to loose your health power so to speak and can take a long time to get back on your feet again not to mention mending the emotional damage done to the family/friend environment left behind due to your diminished health and the missed social interactions of the younger communities you are accustomed too. Socialising with your senior peers is imperative for your wellbeing and preventing isolation is a huge focus in the residential care industry today because social isolation is rife in the elderly population in general and their mental health and wellbeing is being adversely affected. A high number of seniors take multiple medications throughout the day. As a result, mix-ups happening can be a very common outcome.
Prostadine may also reduce inflammation and improve overall prostate health. It is important for men to discuss any concerns about prostate problems with their healthcare provider to determine the best course of treatment.
That’s why it is crucial to managing medications for seniors. And the task is not that complex. You can just put a simple system in place and take care of the basics to avoid common medication mistakes. That’s why it is crucial to managing medications for seniors. And the task is not that complex. You can just put a simple system in place and take care of the basics to avoid common medication mistakes. A recent study found that roughly five percent of US adults aged sixty-five and older receive at least one dose of the wrong type of medicine in any given month – and many more are exposed to even scarier problems that can compromise their health and longevity as a result.
Spine therapy and treatment
Spine therapy treatment is a specialized form of physical therapy that focuses on addressing issues related to the spine, including back pain, neck pain, and other spine-related conditions. It aims to improve mobility, reduce pain, and enhance overall spinal health. If you are experiencing any of the following symptoms, it may be time to consider seeking the expertise of a spine therapist or consulting a doctor:
Persistent Back or Neck Pain: If you have been dealing with persistent back or neck pain that doesn’t improve with rest or over-the-counter pain medications, it’s essential to seek medical attention. A spine therapist can evaluate your condition and design a customized treatment plan to address the underlying cause of the pain.
Limited Range of Motion: Difficulty in moving your back or neck, experiencing stiffness, or a reduced range of motion can be signs of a spine-related issue. A spine therapist can work on improving your flexibility and mobility through targeted exercises and manual therapy techniques.
Numbness or Tingling: If you experience numbness, tingling sensations, or weakness in your arms or legs, it could indicate nerve compression or a herniated disc in the spine. This warrants immediate medical evaluation and appropriate treatment.
Recent Injury: If you have recently experienced a sports-related injury, a fall, or an accident that resulted in trauma to your back or neck, seeking medical attention promptly is crucial to rule out any severe injuries.
Chronic Conditions: Individuals with chronic conditions such as scoliosis or degenerative disc disease may benefit from spine therapy to manage pain and improve function.
Post-Surgery Rehabilitation: After undergoing spinal surgery, rehabilitation with a spine therapist is often necessary to aid in the recovery process and regain strength and mobility.
Persistent Headaches: Sometimes, persistent headaches can be related to issues with the spine, such as poor posture or muscle tension. A spine therapist can help identify and address these contributing factors.
Remember, early intervention and proper treatment are essential for preventing further complications and improving your overall quality of life. If you are unsure whether spine therapy is appropriate for your condition, it’s always best to consult with a healthcare professional or a spine therapist to determine the most suitable course of action.
