I would like to take the time, to thank the Athletic Institute of Medicine, most importantly, Dr. Thomas Wall and his staff for helping me through the Regenerative Medicine Techniques, for my ailing knee. I was destined to have my knee scoped for an interior meniscus tear. I reached out to Doctor Wall and was introduced to another option that would not require surgery.
Please keep in mind that I was having trouble walking, biking and maintaining my daily routine, due to the pain that I was experiencing in my right knee.
The procedure was painless (4 knee injections) and the therapy sessions helped with my recovery.
In April of 2020, I was unable to hike and bike on a daily basis. In September of 2020 I was at the Grand Canyon North Rim, and getting ready to hike The Kaibab Trail. This is a very strenuous and physically challenging hike. I had my doubts about being able to make the trek.
I was able to complete the hike, with no pain or issues in my knee.
This was a major milestone for me, not only physically, but mentally also. I can attribute my success, again to Dr. Tom and his therapy staff.
Extremely professional and caring throughout the process. The follow up calls to see how I was progressing made me feel like I was not just another folder in the file.
Thanks for helping me get back to where I need to be.

Effectiveness of Platelet Rich Plasma
Dr. Wall proposed “PRP” to help a stubborn tendon that just would not recover after my left knee replacement. It was a simple procedure where a special technician draws your own blood and runs it through a special machine that creates a “Plasma” that is then injected into the envelope of the tendon. With just “Taking it easy” on the leg for about six weeks the tendon finally healed perfectly and the leg is completely normal. I totally recommend this procedure.
Nothing to Fear!
After being diagnosed with moderate osteoarthritis in both knees, I was considering stem cell therapy. I am a 70 year old woman that has been blessed with good health, not having the need for many medical procedures, just yearly well checkups. After months of thinking about stem cell therapy, I finally made an appointment with Dr. Wall to see if I was a candidate for the procedure, and I was! I am writing this review to let the reader know, that if you are a candidate for stem cell therapy, there is nothing to fear. It was an amazingly easy, non-painful medical experience that I would highly recommend. I feel comfortable and confident with the medical advice the doctor gives me. Dr. Wall and his entire team made me feel very at ease, letting me know what to expect and answering all my questions. In addition to the incredible skill and qualifications of Dr. Wall, I was extremely impressed with all the safety and quality procedures he has in place. I highly recommend going to see Dr. Wall and discuss stem cell therapy. DON’T BE ANXIOUS!
Knee surgery
Dr Wall is awesome. He’s straight forward and to the point. He is sincere. Kind. And knowledgeable. I have complete confidence in his skills. He did surgery and stem cell therapy on my knee and foot. I feel so much better than I did 6 months ago. Thank you Dr Wall.
Stem Cell Therapy Worked For Me!
I am a 46-year-old athletic male who was told by numerous orthopedic surgeons that I was too young for a total knee replacement and to old for any type of cartilage transplantation. I was told that I needed to decrease my physical activity until I was old enough to undergo a total knee procedure. A friend of mine had recommended that I see Dr. Wall at the Athletic Institute of Medicine, learn more about it. He reported that he had a similar situation and underwent regenerative medicine techniques that allowed him to get back to performing all of his athletic and physical activities of daily living. I am happy that I followed his advice. I underwent a series of 3 injections using my blood platelet rich plasma and a fourth procedure whereby Dr. Wall took bone marrow from my pelvis to obtain what he called medicinal signaling stem cells and injected them into my knee. It has been over a year and I am still able to perform all of my athletic activities. I am grateful to Dr. Wall and the Athletic Institute of Medicine for giving me back my life.
Stem Cells Worked For Me!
I started having severe pain in my knees about six years ago from arthritis. The surgery that was performed 20 years ago on my right knee did not help. As the arthritis and pain in both my knees got worse ,I tried different injections from ,hyaluronic acid to a series of just PRP. and had very little relief. I then found Dr. Thomas Wall from the Athletic Institute of Medicine. Seven months ago he injected stem cells into both of my knees. Combined with physical therapy and two booster PRP shots, today I am 80% pain-free and improved my WOMAC score by 20 points. I am so blessed that I will not have to have knee replacement surgery at this point. I can’t say enough about Dr. Wall, his whole staff, and the stem cell procedure!
Amazing Experience
I had an amazing experience with Dr. Wall. He is kind and an expert in Regenerative Medicine and Orthopedic Surgery. I was referred to him by another orthopedic surgeon for a second opinion for my hip labral tear and femerol acetabular impingement. I was told by my first surgeon that the treatment was surgery and Dr. Wall was who he would have it done by if he himself needed it. So, I went to him. I am in my early 30’s and very active so the thought of being down after hip surgery was scary. Dr. Wall suggested a series of PRP and a stem cell treatment first before we committed to the surgery plan. I went along with his plan and I have not regretted it. Prior to treatment, I had trouble sleeping because the pain in my hip was so bad and I would toss and turn all night. But since treatment in the summer of 2018, I haven’t had hip pain and it is so nice to be able to sleep again. Thank you Dr. Wall! -CH

Dr. Wall Fixed My Knee Problems
For those suffering from knee pain problems, I would like to offer my own personal successful experience and recommendations. I had a painful torn meniscus in my knee that was quickly remedied surgically with no resulting discomfort, apart from mentally kicking my-self for having waited months to have my knee examined in the first place. In addition to the torn meniscus, there was a lot of jagged cartilage to be cleaned up. My surgeon recommended a treatment, which improved most successful, and I am now at 90+% back to as normal as one could expect. The treatment consisted of 3 injections of Synvisc to help lubricate the joint and 2 injections of PRP. I also continue to exercise to strengthen the supporting muscles and take a few daily supplements such as krill to improve joint tissue. It does take a while for the treatment to kick in, but I no longer wake up in the night gasping with sever stabbing pains. It may take a bit more from time to time until I am 100% pain free or close to. When my body feels the need to undergo the process again, whether it is in 6 months or 18 months, I won’t hesitate to do so. I cannot more highly recommend or say enough good things about the surgery and care provided by Dr. Thomas Wall, at Athletic Institute of Medicine, Scottsdale AZ. Also, the physical therapy I received from Vincent Kame of Foothills Sports Medicine was very beneficial.

110% recovery! Thanks Dr. Wall!
That’s right. After Dr. Wall repaired my torn labrum, i feel better than ever, and my repaired shoulder functions even better than the one that was not injured. The entire process took months–July — December, but it was worth the time and following Dr. Wall’s orders because my recovery is amazing. i am a professional martial artist. i have spent my entire adult life (age 23-60) practicing Taekwondo, the Korean martial art. I need my body to function well. all of that took place in 2006 when i was 54 years old! Then in 2010, while training for the rank of 8th degree black belt, i tore a hamstring. The date was May 11, 2010 and my test was on June 25, 2010. i could barely walk. Dr Wall said my only chance to make the test was a treatment called ‘PRP,’ or “platelet rich plasma.” i said i thought i could pass the test at about 75% and Dr Wall, replied, “We’ll get you back to 100%” i was excited and his confidence boosted my attitude that a healing was possible. I took the treatment, began a strict program of physical therapy, and just 5 weeks later, i passed my test for 8th degree black belt. That’s a remarkable story! But it gets better. Dr. Wall has also worked on many of our black belts and instructors. In fact, in addition to my shoulder he has done four other knees and another hamstring injury similar to mine, all with great results. I can’t recommend him enough. Whether you are an elite athlete or a weekend warrior, Dr. Wall is the man to see.
